Dr Heidi Peverill’s Practice
Compassionate cancer surgery
Breast cancer care is rarely simple. Each diagnosis brings its own set of clinical considerations, personal priorities, and decisions that require both clarity and experience.
I am a specialist breast surgeon with a focus on delivering thoughtful, individualised care grounded in evidence and surgical precision. My role is to guide patients through complex choices with clear advice, ensuring treatment plans are both oncologically sound and carefully aligned with each patient’s goals.
I practise at the Queensland Breast Care Centre as part of an experienced multidisciplinary team, working closely with oncologists, radiologists and breast care nurses to provide coordinated, high-quality care at every stage of treatment.
My surgical practice includes breast conservation, implant-based reconstruction, and advanced oncoplastic techniques — including local flaps, breast reduction and mastopexy. These approaches allow for optimal cancer management while maintaining, wherever possible, breast shape and symmetry.
I also provide care for women and families at increased risk of breast cancer, including genetic assessment and long-term risk management strategies.
In addition, I treat patients with melanoma, including sentinel lymph node biopsy to support staging and access to contemporary systemic therapies.
Consultations are available at Queensland Breast Care, The Breast Centre, 147 Smith Street, Southport. The practice operates on a private billing basis, with comprehensive quotations provided prior to any procedure.
Dr Peverill always ensures Breast Cancer & Melanoma referrals are seen urgently and welcomes calls from GPs to discuss patient management.
