About Dr Heidi Peverill

Dr Heidi Peverill is a Specialist Breast Cancer and Melanoma surgeon, with an interest in breast preservation and reconstruction. This includes implant reconstruction as well as oncoplastic, local flap, breast lift and reduction techniques, to achieve both best practice cancer management as well as optimum aesthetic results. In addition, she cares for women and families at high risk of breast cancer, providing genetic testing and long-term management. Dr Peverill also manages patients with melanoma,  including provision of sentinel lymph node biopsy, to allow patients to benefit from modern melanoma therapies.  

After completing her medical training at Monash University and graduating with honours, Dr Peverill undertook further training to become a fully qualified Specialist Breast Surgeon. She has completed a Masters of Advanced Breast Surgery (University of Sydney), and has been a full member of BreastSurgANZ since 2013.

After 8 years in practicing in Brisbane, Dr Peverill returned to the Gold Coast and is practicing at the Queensland Breast Care Centre, 147 Smith st, Southport.

Dr Peverill also works publicly for the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service, providing cancer care at the Robina Breast Unit.

Outside of work, Dr Peverill enjoys spending time with her husband Michael and their daughter.
